Which shipping is right for me?
There are a number of ways to ship your package so that it arrives in your hands safely. Choose your method depending on needs.
FedEx
The fastest and reliable way to ship packages
- want your package delivered as fast as possible
- you don't mind paying higher shipping fees, including additional processing fees on top of custom fees
- you are sure that you will claim your package on time (FedEx destroys unclaimed packages or charges additional fee to ship them back to sender)
DHL
The fastest and reliable way to ship packages
- want your package delivered as fast as possible
- you don't mind paying higher shipping fees, including additional processing fees on top of custom fees
- you are sure that you will claim your package on time (DHL destroys unclaimed packages or charges additional fee to ship them back to sender)
Japan Post shipping methods
EMS (Express Mail)
Fast and safe way to deliver packages, with reliable tracking and insurance up to 2,000,000 yen. Choose if you
- want your package delivered as fast (EMS is a bit slower than DHL and FedEx)
- want to be sure, that you won't be charge additional processing fees for custom tax on top of customs themselves, like in case of DHL and FedEx (applies to all Japan Post shipping methods)
- want to be sure, that you won't lost money in case the package is not delivered - in case of unclaimed packages, EMS ship them back to Japan at no cost (applies to all Japan Post shipping methods)
-have an large order / cannot afford a lost/misplaced package
- do not mind a higher shipping fee
Airmail - a reasonably fast way to deliver packages. Available with or w/o tracking. Choose if you
-want your package delivered in a reasonable amount of time
-are ordering non-expensive items
- want to save money on shipping fees without sacrificing speed
Small Packet Airmail - Faster than SAL, and cheaper than Airmail. Tracking and 6000 yen insurance included. Recommended option for small items under 2kg. Choose if you
-You want an economical method that will still arrive relatively quickly (average delivery time is 10-14 days)
-Are ordering items under 2kg
-Want tracking and insurance
Economy Air (SAL) - Airmail on a budget. May not be available in certain countries. Available with or without tracking. Choose if you
-Are on a tight budget
-Do not mind waiting for your package
How much is the insurance is included?
EMS regular insurance cover up to 20,000 yen. We can add an extra insurance for full coverage upon request; additional fees might apply.
Small Packet/Small Packet Airmail/Printed Matter Airmail are only covered up to the value of 6,000 yen. We cannot add extra insurance for those shipping methods. If your order is significantly more than 6,000 yen, we do not recommend you select this shipping method.
DHL Express and FedEx does include insurance but the amount varies. We recommend you contact us before placing your order if you'd like to fully insure your package.
